A couple who took out a loan from a bank in New Zealand were pleasantly surprised with a loan 100 times more than they asked for. Instead of alerting the bank to their error, the couple has now disappeared. Initially, this was a loan for a gas station and for about $61,000 US dollars, instead the couple received the equivalent of $6.1 million US dollars.
The bank has recovered a little over a million dollars of the money but the couple is still on the run.
When you find a bank error in your favor, or an error in a store in your favor – what do you do?
