Ordering online? Some discounts apply to the amount that you spend especially if you are using coupons. So, to get additional discounts, split your order. This is great if you are getting free shipping. This also applies if you are shopping in a store that has a limit on certain items and you need more than the limit. In a traditional brick and mortar store, buy what you intended to buy, put your purchases in the trunk of your car. Go back in and then buy more. This is not illegal and most stores will not care unless you are buying things for resale.
I was making purchases yesterday on Amazon and found that there was a coupon if I spent at least a certain amount. Since my total order would be more than twice that much, I split my order so that I could take advantage of the discount twice. There was no limit on the number of times I could use the coupon. If you use more than one coupon in a grocery store you just have to meet the purchase requirements.
When I make my online purchases, I use coupons whenever I can. Sometimes using a free shipping coupon works out better than a straight discount. If you have the choice between two coupons and cannot “stack” coupons (use more than one at a time), apply each coupon before checking out to see which one gives you the better deal.
