Right plan, right pricing?
I looked at my phone bill the other day and it seemed extraordinarily high. Then I remembered I had some lengthy conversations with people who lived over 15 miles away from me, though still in the city. This may not seem like a big deal but when the calls are 12¢ a minute it makes a difference. Generally I try to use my cell phone for those calls because I am already paying for the minutes anyway, why not use them. In order to get a “deal” from the phone company I would end up paying more on a plan that gave me a call pack then if I just paid for the few times when I called someone on the other end of the city.
The phone company was no help either, If I got a call pack I would pay more each month than I did for the one time I went over. Short of putting an egg timer beside the phone, I will remember to call people on my cell phone.
Checking my phone bill saved me a surprise. The difference was about twenty dollars which I can pay but knowing beforehand will save me surprises in the future.
