    You are in charge

    By Daphne | July 25, 2008

    Shoppers, you are in charge!

Before you get too anxious, remember being in charge doesn’t necessarily mean that you really want to go out and begin a shopping spree. This means that you can get a good deal if you were planning to buy something.

Though you may be able to save a lot of money if you weren’t going to buy anything in the first place or can’t really afford to buy something then don’t.

You may see a quality item at a great price but how much will it cost you in the long run. For a higher ticket item if you can pay for it over the course of a year with no finance charges and you were looking to buy a refrigerator, stove, television or other item anyway, then this may be a great time to buy. Remember this when you are shopping: Do not spend more just because you can get a deal.

You hold the key to your purse strings. No one else does. Denying yourself something you truly need is cheap. Shopping around for the best price allows you to reconsider or think about features that you think are important before you make a purchase. For non necessities, depending on your use of the item, you have as much time as you want to make a decision. If you are going on a trip tomorrow, mail order luggage wouldn’t be the key but for a trip next month, you have time.

Don’t be so hasty to spend, just because there are deals to be had.
