    Sustain It?

    By Daphne | February 18, 2008

If everyone lived like you would we have enough resources?

Being a good steward with your money is iportant but also being a good caretaker of the Earth means that you will have a clean place for future generations.

Consumer Consequences is an interactive site that helps you figure out how many resources we would need if everyone lived like you.

If everyone lived like me we would need 4.4 Earths to sustain us. Compared to some of the standards from people listed on the site I didn’t score too poorly. The biggest problem area for me are in living and transportation. I live alone and when I drive, generally I don’t have anyone else in the car.

Try it for yourself. Play Consumer Consequences, a game from American Public Media.
