Diversify

A good deal or name should convince you to buy or not to buy something. I talked to a lady this weekend who said that she bought everyone on her Christmas list house shoes, even if they like them or not. As a person who likes to go barefoot, that news was not sitting well with me. I am not a person who would like to receive house shoes.
Even if the item is useful and you think a person may need a new hat, scarf gloves or whatever the item may be the recipient may like the old one; ratty though it may be.
If you see a great deal on alarm clocks that doesn’t mean get everyone on your list one, or a graphic t-shirt either.
There are enough choices out there that you can find something special. Look at recommended gifts at different places and then use a little creativity. Think before you make that purchase. Unless you are buying identical gifts for students, club members or in some cases grandchildren it is better to give someone a gift that take a little thought.
Prices are important but do not sacrifice quality. A great price does not equal great quality. A cheap price may mean a cheap item. Look for the items that are priced to move when you are looking at a sales paper it may be the items on the front and back of the paper or on a website the first item that pops up.
Even though today is “Cyber Monday” that doesn’t mean you have to make your online purchases today.
Also, shop around, so you won’t buy everyone the same thing.
